My child is starting to get bored of playing Joon, what do I do?There are so many things to see and do in the world of Joon that sometimes it just takes a bit of coaching! If your child is showing signs of waning interest, ask them about the following to see if they have unlocked or explored these parts of the game:1) Have you unlocked all of the 10 different doters in Joon? That's right! There are 10 unique animals that your child can unlock and each animal has 3 different sets of colors.2) Have you purchased different clothes and changed the color of your Doter? Items can be purchased from the Shop!3) Have you tried playing some of the minigames in Joon? (we currently have 2 active and a 3rd under development!)4) Have you started decorating your camp? The camp is your child's own area where they can purchase and decorate their own land just to their liking.5) Are there custom rewards you would like me to add to the custom reward shop? You can create any custom reward (such as allowance or screen time) that your child can then redeem for the coins they've collected.Note: It should take your child several months to fully explore and unlock everything in Joon.
How often do you update the game?We are a really small business so by no means is the game "complete." We launch new features and expand the game every 2-4 weeks so stay tuned for exciting new things to come!!Here's what we usually add every 2-4 weeks:1) New regions to explore and walk to / interact2) New doters to hatch3) New items to purchase to customize doters4) New minigames to play5) New seasonal drops based on the holiday6) New ways for siblings to interact with each other7) New ways for parents to interact with their kids8) New ways for child to interact and care for their doter
How does Joon work?Joon is a virtual adventure game that your child is motivated to play by first completing your assigned Quests and taking care of their pet called a Doter. As they complete more and more Quests, they will receive coins from you. These coins can be used for several things in the game such as feeding their pet, purchasing items for their pet, playing minigames and so much more. Additionally, there are different worlds that your child can explore once they reach a high enough level in the game. The levels are tied to experience points that are awarded based on the difficulty of the Quest that you assign them. For example, if you assign them a "Hard" Quest, then they will earn significantly more experience points which means they will level up faster and unlock new regions and items much sooner.
How can my child change their Doter type?We are currently working on a way to allow you (the parent) to do this. However, in the meantime, you can send us an email to contact@joonapp.io and we will do it for you :)
How does my child unlock more Doters? When your child raises their first Doter to Adult level (level 5), they will receive a new egg to hatch. The new Doter is completely randomized in terms of species and color. If the new Doter reaches level 5 a new egg will be rewarded again! There is no limit to how many eggs your child can unlock. Each new egg will be stored in the pink machine in the "Overworld" where your child can go to claim it and even switch their Doters.
How can my child rename their Doter?Ask your child to open the app and log into their account. Then ask them to tap the settings icon in the top left corner and select "Rename Doter."
How can my child turn off the music?Ask your child to open the app and log into their account. Then ask them to tap the settings icon in the top left corner and un-select "Music"

I want to limit other apps on my child's deviceIf you have a child that is easily distracted by other apps on their tablet, there is an easy way to turn on settings so they can't access other apps and only access Joon! For iOS:1) tap the iOS settings app2) select "Screen Time"3) select "Always Allowed"4) tap the green "plus" button next to Joon Pet Game5) hit "back" and select "Downtime"6) then select "Turn on Downtime until Tomorrow"For Android:Navigate to Settings > Digital Wellbeing & parental controls. In case you can't find it, you will need to download the app from Google Play. With Digital Wellbeing, you can set up app limits. When an app's time allowance expires for the day, its icon will appear grayed out and you won't be able to open it anymore. Android will also block the app's notifications so you aren't tempted to disable the limit after seeing an unread message or comment. To configure an app limit, launch Digital Wellbeing. Tap Dashboard, then select the app you'd like to place a restriction on. Touch the App Timer option and define your daily allowance. Finally, hit the OK button. Now your child will be unable to access any other app on their device except for Joon!
